Gabriel Holzapfel Mancini (Puerto Montt, 1988) es artista visual y músico autodidacta. Actualmente vive y trabaja en Santiago de Chile.
A la fecha, Gabriel Holzapfel ha realizado 19 muestras individuales y 62 colectivas, exponiendo su obra en los principales espacios de exhibición chilenos destacando el MSSA, MAC, MNBA, CCLM, MAVI, PCdV, Palacio Cousiño, Galería Metales Pesados Visual, OMA Galería, Biblioteca de Santiago y en países como Estados Unidos, España, Italia y Colombia.
Ha sido galardonado con el Premio de Honor en el Concurso Nacional de Arte Joven de Valparaíso 2013 y 2021, el Premio Especial para Regiones del Concurso MAVI Arte Joven 2020 y el Premio Contemporarte de la Universidad de Huelva, España 2014. Recientemente ganó el 1º lugar de la categoría Artes Mediales del Concurso Municipal de Arte Joven de Santiago 2023.
El año 2018 fue seleccionado para participar como artista residente en el Apulia Land Art Festival de Alberobello, Italia y en Chile a sido parte de residencias para Balmaceda Arte Joven Los Lagos, el Museo de Chonchi y el Cecrea de Chiloé. Al mismo tiempo, su obra está presente en importantes colecciones nacionales e internacionales, tanto públicas como privadas.
A lo largo de los últimos 10 años ha centrado su producción en torno a tópicos como la memoria, la desaparición y las complejas huellas que va dejando la actividad humana sobre nuestros territorios, sensibilidades e imaginarios, fundiendo los limites entre lo político, lo poético y lo absurdo a través de obras de carácter conceptual, transitando por diversos formatos y soportes.
Entre el año 2007 y 2013 estudió Licenciatura en Arte en la PUCV. El año 2014 cursó un Diplomado en Fotografía en la misma casa de estudios. Actualmente cursa el Magíster en Artes Visuales en la Universidad de Chile.

To date, Gabriel Holzapfel has carried out 19 individual and 57 group shows and has exhibited in the main chilean exhibition spaces, as well as countries such as the United States, Spain and Italy. He has been awarded with the Banco de Chile Honor Prize at the XXXV Valparaíso National Young Art Competition (2013), the Special Prize for Regions of the MAVI Young Art Competition 2020, the Contemporarte Prize of the University of Huelva, Spain (2014) , the Honor Prize of the National Young Art Contest of the University of Valparaíso (2021), among others. Musically, Holzapfel has participated as an active drummer in the band Adelaida, Camila Moreno and TRMNTO. He also has participated in 10 international tours and recorded 7 studio albums, collaborating with artists such as Chini.png, Natisú, Chinoy, Diego Lorenzini, Terapia Grupal, Fernando Milagros, etc.
Between 2007 and 2012 he studied a Bachelor of Art at PUCV and in 2013 he completed a Diploma in Photography at the same university. He is currently studying for a Master’s in Visual Arts at the University of Chile.
